You have been asked to make a <strong>presentation about plastics<\/strong>&nbsp;in your town&rsquo;s&nbsp;<strong>high school<\/strong>. Your mission is to&nbsp;<strong>raise awareness<\/strong>&nbsp;about this plastic plague and to&nbsp;<strong>convince your schoolmates<\/strong> how important recycling is. \u00ab\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">III. One way to collect plastics from our oceans<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Mise en situation: <\/span><\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0You have just been hired by the SeaCleaners as a communications assistant on the Manta project. The 3D art department came up with the video below, which has no sound for now.<br \/>\nYou have just come on board the team, so you first need to watch the video explaining how the Manta works. You will also get to know the Manta through other documents. In the end, you will be asked to create&nbsp;<strong>a voice over<\/strong>&nbsp;for this video explaining<strong>&nbsp;the assets<\/strong> of this giant sailboat.<br \/>\nYour manager expects you to demonstrate advanced knowledge of the ship and overall project, so pay attention to every detail!\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span id=\"yui_3_17_2_1_1639244941167_224\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>IV. A solution to the plastic plague<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>Mise en situation: \u00ab\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>You are working for Beston Machinery Company, specializing in pyrolysis reactors destined to turn waste plastics into oil. Being a novice in the industry, you first need to get up to speed with the principles of plastic pyrolysis so as to be able to argue your case convincingly.<br \/>\nIndeed, your lead manager has eventually tasked you with persuading Exxon&rsquo;s top management that turning waste plastic into oil through pyrolysis is a viable solution for the oil company, and can help Exxon restore its reputation which has been tarnished due to strong environmental concerns.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: inherit; font-family: inherit; font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">BONUS ! Other options for recycling plastics<\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: inherit; font-family: inherit; font-weight: bold;\">Mise en situation: \u00ab\u00a0<\/span>You have come up with this innovative project that offers an opportunity to recycle plastics massively.<br \/>\nYou are in front of a board of <strong>investors<\/strong>&nbsp;(i.e. your classmates) because you need financial support. Make an&nbsp;<strong>elevator pitch<\/strong>, i.e. a time-framed speech promoting your innovation, hoping your project will get financed by the investors. You will have to be quick and convincing: an elevator pitch is usually completed within the short time of an elevator ride with a higher-ranking coworker.<br \/>\n<strong>Each investor has $100k<\/strong>&nbsp;to support only&nbsp;<strong>ONE project<\/strong>.
